A little bit about me: in list form

I was born in Nebraska and yes we had indoor plumbing
I’ve lived in Colorado, Iowa, Chicago, Ohio, Cape Cod, Manhattan, & Queens
I am both a city boy and a nature boy
I recently married the love of my life
We got married in a barn…no really!
If I’m on the computer I probably have my dog, Ruby, in my lap
I have a strong theatre design background and love all things visual
I have a rusty old bike from 1976 and riding it makes me happy

That’s me in 8 lines or less.  Photography has been a great way for me to meet some truly amazing people. I have a lot of fun with what I do and with the people I meet. Everyone has a different story to tell which makes every day an adventure.

It's my goal to make my clients feel as comfortable as possible and to make their time, be it a wedding day, headshots, or a theatrical event, as stress free as I can...and capture beautiful pictures along the way.

I carry both equipment and liability insurance and am a proud member of Professional Photographers of America and Pictage.

Happy Holidays!

Ashley and I headed to Florida to be with her family this Christmas and had some fun in the sun while we were at it.

Wishing everyone a Happy Holidays!

The old farm

When we went home for Thanksgiving Ashley and I took a trip to see my grandparent’s old farm outside of Lyman, NE. It’s been years since I’d been back out there. The weather was very cold and windy and it was a little sad to see that many people have moved away from that sleepy little town. At least two things were the same as they’ve always been: plenty of sky and a 360 degree horizon.

Thanksgiving in Nebraska

I had the chance to fly home to Nebraska for thanksgiving. Lots of food, football, and time spent with my favorite 2 1/2 year old nephew, Baylen. There also happened to be a fair amount of time devoted to singing and playing “wheels on the bus”. Thank goodness we all buckled our imaginary seat belts or we might have had rug burns!

The sirens were a little two loud for some of us at the Christmas parade.

Go Nebraska Cornhuskers!

Opening of Macy’s Windows

Well, it’s officially the Christmas season…the Macy’s Christmas windows are open! Our good friend Eric Hart was one of the carpenters who built those glittery Christmas windows and invited us to share in the opening festivities. It was a cold night but we were packed in with so many people we didn’t notice.

There’s an empire state building coming out of my head!

Central Park at Night

I was waiting for Ashley to get off work last night and thought I would take my tripod to central park and get some night shots. When shooting in Central Park after dark, I was comforted by the fact that my tripod could be used as a weapon. That and I could snap a picture of my attacker! Yes, don’t mess with me, I’m a photographer!

Halloween Party!

Had to share some highlights from the Halloween party we went to last night. When people found out I brought my camera, I suddenly became the official photographer for the evening. How was I to argue? Hope your Halloween was a spooky one!

And who said Mac and PC can’t be friends?

Kelly & Geoff’s Slideshow

Kelly and Geoff, here’s a slide show I put together of your wedding.  These are some of my favorites from your day.  Again, I can’t tell you how much fun I had with you guys!  The day couldn’t have been more perfect!

Kelly & Geoff’s Wedding

This last weekend I had the privilege of photographing Kelly and Geoff’s wedding. We had such a great time! They flew in from Fargo, ND with select family members in tow, and had their wedding at the Ladies Pavilion in Central Park. This was a beautiful space overlooking the lake. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect. To say I love my job would be an understatement! To have the opportunity to go gallivanting around New York and Brooklyn with such a wonderful couple and to take pictures along the way was so much fun. They were the nicest couple and by the end of it I felt like I was part of the family!

Also check out the slideshow I put together and tell me what you think:

Carousel!

I just finished working on the scenic design for Carousel up at the Hartt School and thought I would share some pictures I snapped at final dress last night! The trick with designing this musical: creating, guess what, a carousel on stage. The shop and painters did a great job with this one!

Hannah & John’s Slideshow

Here is the slide show I put together for the images from Hannah and John’s Wedding.  They are such a sweet couple and they obviously have a lot of love for one another.  Congratulations again Hannah and John!
