A little bit about me: in list form

I was born in Nebraska and yes we had indoor plumbing
I’ve lived in Colorado, Iowa, Chicago, Ohio, Cape Cod, Manhattan, & Queens
I am both a city boy and a nature boy
I recently married the love of my life
We got married in a barn…no really!
If I’m on the computer I probably have my dog, Ruby, in my lap
I have a strong theatre design background and love all things visual
I have a rusty old bike from 1976 and riding it makes me happy

That’s me in 8 lines or less.  Photography has been a great way for me to meet some truly amazing people. I have a lot of fun with what I do and with the people I meet. Everyone has a different story to tell which makes every day an adventure.

It's my goal to make my clients feel as comfortable as possible and to make their time, be it a wedding day, headshots, or a theatrical event, as stress free as I can...and capture beautiful pictures along the way.

I carry both equipment and liability insurance and am a proud member of Professional Photographers of America and Pictage.

Hannah & John

Here they are, some of the highlights from Hannah and John’s wedding! They had a “western” style wedding in a beautiful church up in Westchester county, and then had a Pae Baek at the reception which was a traditional Korean ceremony. The colors were amazing! I was lucky enough to catch a shot of them holding hands there before the ceremony. They were so great together and I’m so happy I was able be a part of their day!

Grand Central

A couple of weeks ago I had some time to kill so I grabbed my camera and tripod and headed to Grand Central Station. Had fun with long exposures until the security guard told me I was free to snap pictures but I couldn’t use the tripod. I was worried he was going to accuse me of being a terrorist or something.

I love this train station. It’s easy to take good architecture for granted unless you’ve spent any time in the basement that is Penn Station.

Thanks for all your comments! They are greatly appreciated!

Tribute in Light Memorial

Ashley and I walked across the Brooklyn Bridge to get this shot of the memorial the other night. Most shots show the lights going off into infinity, but I think there’s something beautiful about the way the lights are hitting the clouds in this shot. It’s a beautiful memorial and is quite breathtaking in it’s simplicity.

Michael’s Headshots

I shot some headshots with Michael last week. My first opera singer! It started raining on us so we cut the session short but I think we came up with some great shots! I had the pleasure of shooting Michael and Lizzie’s engagement session at the beginning of the summer. I offered to shoot Lizzie’s headshots as well and just round out the set but she just laughed at me. Apparently stage managers don’t need headshots!

Tim’s Headshots

Tim came down from Syracuse, NY this weekend for some headshots. The was a little hot and muggy but that just gave us an excuse to take a break at Dunkin Donuts!

Our new fish!

Meet Peter McBeth, the Betta fish! We are taking small steps in regards to having living things in our apartment. We haven’t had any plant deaths for a while so we have progressed to fish! Thought I would give you something to look at while I work on proofing some new headshots. Had a busy weekend so stay tuned!

Emily’s Headshots

I shot some headshots with Emily last weekend. She dyed her hair for a show and needed to have headshots to match. We got some great shots which makes it difficult to decide on a favorite!

Trip to Florida

Ashley and I visited her family in Florida. We had a great time seeing the sights and it was a great excuse for some beach shots!

Ashley took this one! It’s super Ryan (with a lighthouse coming out of my head!)
