A little bit about me: in list form

I was born in Nebraska and yes we had indoor plumbing
I’ve lived in Colorado, Iowa, Chicago, Ohio, Cape Cod, Manhattan, & Queens
I am both a city boy and a nature boy
I recently married the love of my life
We got married in a barn…no really!
If I’m on the computer I probably have my dog, Ruby, in my lap
I have a strong theatre design background and love all things visual
I have a rusty old bike from 1976 and riding it makes me happy

That’s me in 8 lines or less.  Photography has been a great way for me to meet some truly amazing people. I have a lot of fun with what I do and with the people I meet. Everyone has a different story to tell which makes every day an adventure.

It's my goal to make my clients feel as comfortable as possible and to make their time, be it a wedding day, headshots, or a theatrical event, as stress free as I can...and capture beautiful pictures along the way.

I carry both equipment and liability insurance and am a proud member of Professional Photographers of America and Pictage.

Registry Party

So, the way I see it, there are two wonderful perks about getting engaged;

1) the pure joy you feel which comes from pledging your love to that special someone who you are about to share the rest of your life with, and

2) the gift registry!

I don’t know how many of you New Yorkers knew about this, but Crate & Barrel schedules regular Gift Registry Events to encourage engaged couples to register with them.  Ashley, my fiance and partner in crime, and I found our way to the SoHo store the other night with wine and hors d’oeuvres in one hand and a registry scanner in the other.  We had a great time and I thoroughly recommend it for all you New Yorkers soon to be married.  Of course, having the entire store open to us, we may have requested a few things that probably won’t stay on the list.  Like this sleigh bed for $1,199.00.  But it would look so great in our house!

Now, if I could just talk a camera store like B & H into hosting something like this!  Put me…I mean us…down for the new D3s camera please!

A number of wedding vendors were on hand to offer their services, from cakes to dresses.  It was like a mini bridal show!

Christele & Michael

I have met some of the most interesting and generous people through my photography.  I would have to say it’s by far the most exciting part of my job.  Every wedding is an opportunity to meet more and more wonderful people.  Which brings me to Michael and Christele.  Michael grew up here in New York while Christele is originally from France.  They both now live in San Francisco.  If they were able to find each other after growing up half a world away than surely they have something very special.  I think they just won the award for having the most diverse list of wedding guests I’ve seen so far!

When Ashley and myself started taking pictures of Michael getting ready he mentioned, in his delightfully casual manner, that he would meet us later on the beach for the wedding. His plan was to ride his bike through the woods and grab a bouquet of flowers and present them to Christele as a surprise during the ceremony.  It wasn’t until I heard him repeat his plan to his family numerous times that I began to take him seriously.  He actually did just that.  He hopped on his bike in his 3 piece suit and he met us at the beach!  This set the tone for a beautiful and delightfully unique wedding complete with a great view of the bay and fireworks on the beach.

Ashley and I decided we want to hire Michael and Christele’s I-pod as the DJ for our wedding by the way.

Take care Michael and Christele!  And congratulations!
