I first met Jeanette and Graham last year in Dumbo, Brooklyn for an engagement session complete with NYC skyline and a spin on an old fashioned Carousel. Although their mountain wedding at the Full Moon Resort in the Catskills had a completely different look, the love that these two had for each other was the same if not stronger then it was a year ago. What a fun couple to work with! Like most of the weddings I photograph, their friends and families came from all over the country and beyond to be a part of this wedding. Jeanette’s family was from Long Island while many from Graham’s family visited from Canada and Jeanette and Graham both currently live in the Boston area. It was a nice compromise for everyone to meet in the middle. A deeper family history was also represented by Graham’s brother who’s bagpipes led the recessional at the end of the wedding. There’s nothing quite like the sound of bagpipes echoing off wooded mountain tops to stir up the emotions.
We got a number of great dancing shots at the reception and I’ve included a small selection of highlights below. Some really great music at the reception was provided by Dave from JTD Productions. The night ended with a wonderful sparkler sendoff which I included in the preview here.
I want to send a shout-out to my rockin assistant Isabel for all her photography help! For a wedding like this, it helps to have a second eye on pictures but equally important is a second eye on the road on the long drive back to the city.
Congratulations again Jeanette and Graham! We had such a great time working with you!
