Adrienne and Sandy’s wedding was just featured on the Blog Emmaline Bride! You can check out the entire post they put together here.
I think the title to their blog post describes this wedding perfectly.

And you can check out my original post for Adrienne and Sandy’s wedding here.

Those of you following my blogs know that Adrienne has been a fabulous wedding photo assistant of mine on numerous occasions. We met a while ago through our work in the theater and, despite the fact that she knows all my little goofy ways to get people to smile in front of the camera, she asked me to photograph her wedding. I couldn’t have been happier! She and Sandy got married at Full Moon which is a beautiful resort up in the Catskills. This area of the country is truly amazing; plenty of trees, fresh air, and around every corner another fruit stand or antique shop.
My day started with my drive out of the city through the rain and I began to wonder if a wedding outside was really going to happen. Then, almost on cue, the sun came out right before the ceremony to dry everything out. The ceremony was about as perfect as it gets being back in the woods next to a little stream with Adrienne and Sandy’s closest friends and family. This was followed by cocktails on the lawn, a dinner reception in the tent, and then to “The Party Barn” for dancing with a really great rock-a-billy band Adrienne and Sandy found in New York City. Think of a really good fourth of July picnic with all your favorite friends and family and that’s pretty much how it felt.
Congratulations again Adrienne and Sandy. I had such a great time with you guys! And I can’t wait to hear all about your honeymoon when you get back!
Be sure to click the slideshow link at the bottom of the post. The groom plays a mean guitar solo you don’t want to miss!

Here’s a little preview from Nell and Ben’s Wedding we shot this weekend at Martha Clara Vineyards in Riverhead, NY. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Words escape me, which is why I brought my camera. More beautiful pictures to come.

I just got back from shooting Adrienne and Sandy’s wedding last night at the Full Moon Resort up in the Catskills. Beautiful weather, great rock-a-billy band, and a knock-out couple.
More pictures to come I promise.

We had the pleasure of photographing Melanie and Jesse’s wedding at the Arsenal in Central Park. I’ve photographed so much in the park; weddings, engagement sessions, my parents coming to visit. And each time is just as interesting as the last. I love Central Park! I could photograph a lifetime of weddings within it’s borders and still not get bored with it!
All the times I’ve been in Central Park and I never knew about the Arsenal Building. This building is actually older than the park itself and at one time held the munitions for the state! It also houses the original park plan but all that is old news because after May 1, 2010, it became the building in which Melanie and Jesse were married!
It was the perfect place for their wedding. Not only were they were surrounded by wonderful friends and family, the history of New York around every corner, and a gorgeous view of the skyline from the roof, but they were both working for the park when they met. It couldn’t have been more perfect!
We had so much fun with you Melanie and Jesse! Springtime in Central Park is the kind of thing people write songs about and this spring was no different!

I had wedding rings in my hand and happened to come across a row of seats from the old Yankee Stadium.
Of course I had to put them together. What would you have done!

Ask any New Yorker where the center of the universe is and they will probably say it’s right smack dab in the middle of Manhattan. This also happens to be the location of Central Park. By this reasoning, Melanie and Jesse’s wedding last night was in the center of the center of the universe. And if you asked them, they probably would have agreed with you.
Such a wonderful couple and a beautiful wedding. More pictures to come.

Back in the fall, I was contacted by a good friend of mine, Amanda Picone, who just happens to be a fabulous photographer, and said a friend of hers was in need of a wedding photographer. Amanda wouldn’t be able to shoot Kristen’s wedding, it turns out, because she was in the wedding party! Anyone who knows Amanda’s work knows that I had some pretty big shoes to fill as her work is so amazing, but I jumped at the opportunity. Upon meeting Kristen, I had the real sense that this wedding was going to be a lot of fun, and it was. Kristen and Mike are such a great couple and were up for just about anything. Despite a bit of snow on wedding day and temperatures cold enough to freeze a photographer’s fingers to his shutter button, it was a beautiful wedding and so much fun to shoot!
The ceremony was held at The Princeton Marriott and Conference Center with the reception being held at the Triumph Brewing Company. It was the perfect place for a reception with really great food, but one rule I just couldn’t break is having a beer on the job! Those micro brews looked soooo good! Ashley and I are going to have to find a reason to go back and visit to try their Coffee and Cream Stout sometime when I’m not on the clock!
I hope you two had a great time on your honeymoon, Kristen and Mike. Remember, if you can brave the freezing January winds of New Jersey in a photo shoot and still look good doing it, there’s nothing you can’t take on together!
Feel free to check out the slide show here.

Ashley and I had the privilege of being asked to photograph Kristen and Mike’s wedding yesterday in Princeton, NJ! We woke up to an inch of snow on the ground in New York and wind chill at zero and I was worried that everyone would be a popsicle by the end of the day. Can popsicles smile, I wondered? When we got to New Jersey and started taking pictures, everyone was so excited for this wedding that I realized it could have been 30 below and it wouldn’t have mattered one bit! Kristen and Mike have some wonderful friends and family and I don’t think there was one popsicle in the bunch! Of course, Kristen and Mike now have a honeymoon in Aruba to thoroughly warm them up!
The ceremony was held at The Princeton Marriott and Conference Center and the reception was at the Triumph Brewing Company across the street from the Princeton University Campus which was a great place to get pictures.
Enjoy your honeymoon Kristen and Mike! Congratulations again!

As a native Nebraskan living New York City, I was so excited to be asked to photograph Katherine and Eric’s wedding in my home town Scottsbluff, Nebraska! Ok, so I grew up in Gering which is across the river (go bulldogs!) but when you are talking about a combined population of 21k, which side of the river you grew up on doesn’t make much of a difference.
Katherine and Eric were married in The First Presbyterian Church (where I was a member growing up) and had their reception at the Gering Civic Center (where I had my senior prom). It was hard to tell who had more fun, them for getting married or me for galloping down memory lane…ok, they clearly had more fun! At one point in the evening Katherine was asked how she was doing and she responded with, “I haven’t had anything to eat or drink all night! We’ve been too busy dancing and saying hello to everyone!” I must admit, I am partly to blame as I talked Katherine and Eric into braving the cold November air to take some pictures. From all the cars driving by and honking, people clearly thought we were crazy, but we got some great pictures and had lots of fun doing it! I think the picture below of the couple on Main Street sums it all up. Congratulations you too!
Take a look at the slide show I put together of some of the highlights here.

Congratulations Katherine and Eric! You’ll have nothing but green lights from here on out!
